Life between the lines
A caller purporting to be from the US Treasury department called me to have me talk to someone about some (fake) legal action that was initiated against me. Related – intercepted / re-routed calls intended for the US Secret Service and the FBI office in San Francisco.
An article posted on CSO Online about security being at the top of the list of things that CIOs worry about, and the relation to changes in the IT budget and to the rate of turnover in the information security, risk management and compliance industry.
It seems like the ultimate paradox. Social media is where one shares. Security is for what one doesn’t want to share. Could the two ever meet? They can, they do and they make a great partnership. This post details the various opportunities that social media can help with regarding organizations building security into their brand.
