When researchers analyzed how Pegasus spyware infected iPhones without the user tapping anything, they found something wild. The attackers sent an iMessage with a fake GIF that targeted Apple's image decompression engine. The decompression math was so flexible that the exploit

Microsoft Threat Intelligence has observed threat actors using agentic AI tools to search public GitHub repositories for exposed secrets and then using stolen secrets for further malicious activity against the compromised organization.

Autonomous Multi-Agent SOC & Threat Hunting

Problem Statement

Analyzing raw RAM dumps (.raw, .vmem) using Volatility requires security analysts to execute dozens of command-line plugins (pslist, netscan, malfind, handles) and parse vast command-line outputs to locate hidden DLLs or injected code.

Goal

Build an agentic Volatility wrapper that ingests volatile memory dump summary output, identifies code injection techniques (e.g., Process Hollowing, Reflective DLL Injection), and outputs forensic artifacts.

Outcome Measurement

  1. Analysis Latency: RAM analysis turnaround reduced from 3 hours to 4 minutes.
  2. Injected Code Detection: 100% detection rate on Process Hollowing benchmarks.

How the Code was Built

The python script invokes an LLM agent that receives structured outputs from process tree and memory allocation outputs, flagging anomalous memory regions with PAGE_EXECUTE_READWRITE permissions.

Executable Code

from langchain_openai import ChatOpenAI

forensic_recommendation: str
def analyze_memory_dump(pslist_output: str, malfind_output: str) -> MemoryAnomaly:
